Cut off the tips of each of the plantain.
Cut the plantains into half crosswise
Start cutting the halves into 1/8-inch-thick slices.
In a large, deep cast-iron skillet, add the vegetable cooking oil. Place it over a heat source that is medium to high. Oil should be heated until it reaches 175°C.
To prevent crowding and sticking together, add the plantain slices into the skillet in batches. Slices of plantain should be fried until golden brown all over. Add salt to them right away. Repeat the same process with the remaining slices of plantain.
