Bio-chemist Researchers in Uganda have created plastic material based on cassava. The plastic material is biodegradable so when disposed of, it rots into manure.
The researchers claim that this material is 100% free from chemicals that would destroy the environment.
Uganda has previously considered a ban on non-biodegradable plastic bags widely used in the country.
After being adopted, this creation will be a solution to the harmful non-biodegradable plastic bags that have been a menace in many urban cities around the world.
The researchers expected to start mass production in two years.
